Dr Aaron Lane is Lecturer in the Graduate School of Business and Law and a Research Fellow in the Blockchain Innovation Hub at RMIT University. He is the program manager of the Graduate Certificate in Emerging Technology & Law offered by RMIT Online.
Dr Lane’s academic research sits at the intersection of law and economics, the economics of regulation, and law and technology. He has published in variety of academic journals, books, and edited volumes. He has regularly appeared as an expert witness before parliamentary inquiries at the state and federal level and has drafted a brief Amicus Curiae filed in the Supreme Court of the United States. He has also provided advice to Australian and foreign governments on the complex issues surrounding the regulation of blockchain and cryptocurrencies.
Dr Lane is an Australian lawyer, admitted to practice in the Supreme Court of Victoria and the High Court of Australia.
