Nicolette Barnard

Nicolette began her career at Siemens in July 2001 in South Africa where she held various Human Resources functions e.g. Talent Acquisition Manager, and Learning and Development Manager, of which her last function was HR Head for Africa. Nicolette joined Siemens Australia in June 2011. Nicolette’s career in Human Resources started in 1994 when she joined the Girintek Group of companies in the Electronic Warfare Industry in South Africa.

Nicolette holds tertiary qualifications in Human Resources, Commercial Practice and Management.

During her tenure at Siemens Africa, the Recruitment Centre Southern Africa was awarded best practice status during a Siemens Global Audit in 2003 and again during a global research project in 2006. Nicolette was the project manager for various South African and international human resources best practice projects within the Siemens Group e.g. PMP design in 2005, Skills Revolution, Renaissance Project – Harnessing our golden skills, Source & Develop IT Tool, Share Matching Plan, Contractors Management Risk, etc. Nicolette presented, on invitation, to the Siemens AG CO, Mr Peter Loescher on the topic of “Diversity in South Africa” in 2009. She recently implemented a new Talent Management Framework for the Siemens Asia-Australia Region with the aim of ensuring best practise activities regarding developing and retaining talents within the organisation.
