Jo Scard

With over 20 years’ experience in communications, political advisory roles and journalism, Jo Scard is one of Australia’s foremost strategic advisers to corporates, government and Not-For-Profits.

Jo played a unique role as a senior adviser to the Rudd and Gillard Governments, managing complex Senate negotiations across all portfolios. As a consultant at world-leading public affairs agency Gavin Anderson, Jo advised domestic and offshore governments and major global corporates on complex strategic communications issues.

She is also a respected former journalist in the UK and Australia working with ITV, Associated Press, Seven Network, SBS, ABC and Fairfax and co-authored the best-selling book The Working Mother’s Survival Guide.

A qualified lawyer, she is a Member of the NSW Council of the Public Relations Institute of Australia and on the Boards of the Australian Women Chamber of Commerce and Industry and Hockey ACT. Jo has received a number of awards including the Mumbrella PR Leader of the Year award in 2018.
