The Australian War Memorial is currently undertaking its biggest construction project since the Heritage Building first opened in 1941. Over the past three decades, more than 100,000 Australians have served in war, conflict, peacekeeping, and humanitarian and disaster relief operations around the world. The Memorial’s Development Project has been undertaken to share these contemporary stories. The Memorial will always be a place which represents
Australian identity, through stories from the Australian Defence Force. While the building and its stories are evolving, so too must the Memorial’s communication practices to ensure it remains relevant with new Australians, younger audiences and those visiting in a digital capacity.

Communications is one of the main levers available to government to not only inform its citizens but also to achieve change. But, in an increasingly fragmented media landscape, how do you achieve cut-through, leverage your common narrative and share important information with the community?

In May 2023 the South Australian government launched SA Govt: We are SA, a whole of govt communications platform and amplifications strategy to deliver first class communications to South Australian citizens. Early results show this new approach is already paying dividends - both with an external audience but, also, when it comes to instilling pride and driving engagement among South Australia's 110k-plus public sector workforce.
